If you’re thinking Easter you might be thinking baby chicks and baby bunnies. In Secret Cove your more likely to find millions of baby star fish.
There are clusters of baby starfish everywhere, like these groupings just below the Rockwater Resort.
Sometimes there’s a bit of a renegade who doesn’t fit in with the group, and strikes out on his own.
Pender Hill is a small bluff just above Irvine’s Landing at the entrance to Pender Harbour. A 30 minute hike (which is up virtually every step) commands a great view of the Harbour.
A 30 to 60 minute hike to the summit, depending upon your stops to take in the cliff edge views.
Impressive second growth forest trails lead to some great vistas: How Sound, Georgia Strait, Keats Island, Bowen Island and Vancouver Island.

At any rate this little pocket beach is just a “stone’s throw” from the Halfmoon Bay General Store. It was great for sitting on log or playing in the sand on this great spring day. Q
