There are three spots to grab a bite to eat within paddling distance of the cove.
Upper Deck Cafe
Our shortest paddle is to the Upper Deck Cafein the heart of secret cove – at the most a 10 minute paddle from any dock in the cove.
The Upper Deck Café is a floating restaurant – located at the Secret Cove Marina. The deck provides a great vantage point to view activity in the cove. The menu is west coast inspired cuisine and varies with the season; spotted prawns, swimming scallops, smoked octopus, wild salmon, and locally grown produce.
Season runs from the middle of May to October. Telephone 604.885.3533 for hours and opening times.
Rockwater Secret Cove Resort
Heading out the cove and taking a 15 minute paddle up the coast will bring you to the Rockwater Secret Cove Resort. The Rockwater is a year round resort. They’re not really in Secret Cove but the setting is still very nice. Heck, they’re almost famous. It’s fine dining. Reservations are not a bad idea.
Upper Crust Cafe
You’ll be hungry by the time you get here – about 2 hours paddle from the cove. We paddle down Welcome Passage and the into Halfmoon Bay.
Located at the north end of Halfmoon Bay, beside the historic general store, the Upper Crust Gourmet Market is accessible by road or water. Land your kayak on the Government Wharf, or on a little pocket beach adjacent to the general store.
The Cafe offers gourmet pizza, freshly made soups, light lunches, delicious baked goods, coffees, ice cream and more. They can make you a picnic lunch if you want to continue exploring. Inside and outside seating.
